Lypton Village / Mick Joyce & The Sonic Gypsies / William Ryan / More TBA

Lots of excitement in the Garageland camp as we put on our very first show in Drop Dead Twice!

Branching out from a successful year co-fronting The Low Kills, one of The Daily Star & Garagelands' Top Ten ones to watch for 2019, Claire Nolan takes to the stage as front woman of Lypton Village.
Carlos Foster provides a beautiful atmospheric sound on synths that contrasts and yet blends with Sean Carneys signature funk/blues guitar and the heaviness of Fionn Kavanagh's bass. All of this backed up by the heartbeat that is Aengus Samuel-Maher (The Goose) on drums.
An exploration of sound that continues The Low Kills legacy of describing themselves as "genre fluid".

Making a very welcome return to Garageland, The Sonic Gypsies incorporate a very unique 4- piece band with a character of it's own, performing arrangements from the 2017 release 'Wake up before the Light goes out' as well as material from 'The Bosphorus', which was recorded in Turkey & Dublin. We had the guys in RTE with us, and then they blew us away at The Sound House in February!

Brand new to Garageland, and we're delighted to present William Ryan, a singer songwriter from Dublin studying songwriting in BIMM Dublin. He has been writing music since the age of 12 and has grown into a mature songwriter romanticising the themes of love, life, death and adolescent-hood. In September 2018 he independently released his debut EP “The Butterfly Effect EP” on all major streaming platforms”
